Job Description

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites and web applications. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, customization, and optimization, alongside a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites according to project requirements.
  • Create and modify themes and plugins for enhanced functionality.
  • Implement responsive design for optimal user experience across devices.
  • Integrate APIs and third-party tools into WordPress sites.
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve site issues, bugs, or errors.
  • Ensure website security through regular updates and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality websites.
  • Maintain clear documentation of code and development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in WordPress CMS, including theme and plugin development.
  • Solid understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and performance optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of website security practices.
  • Ability to work with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with WooCommerce or other eCommerce plugins.
  • Knowledge of headless WordPress development and JAMstack approaches.
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms and deployment workflows.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or relevant field (or equivalent practical experience).
