Job Description
eQOURSE is recruiting native and highly fluent Spanish, French, and German speakers for a remote conversational voice data collection project.
Selected participants will be paired with another approved speaker of the same language to record natural, unscripted conversations on everyday topics such as daily life, education, entertainment, technology, travel, hobbies, career, and future plans.
This is not a commercial voice-over, dubbing, or script-reading assignment. The objective is to capture authentic, spontaneous conversations that reflect normal day-to-day communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in natural, unscripted conversations with an assigned recording partner.
- Discuss assigned everyday topics in a relaxed and conversational manner.
- Complete all assigned recording sessions according to project guidelines and schedule.
- Record only your own voice in WAV format following the provided technical instructions.
- Use earphones or headphones to prevent the other participant's voice from being captured.
- Maintain a consistent distance from the recording device throughout each session.
- Record in a quiet indoor environment free from background noise.
- Avoid discussing sensitive, offensive, political, or personally identifying topics.
- Follow participant ID, topic code, and file-naming conventions accurately.
- Upload original, unedited audio files before the specified deadline.
- Complete a short test recording before participating in the main project.
- Provide accurate participant information and sign the required consent and data authorization forms.
- Re-record sessions if the submitted audio does not meet the required quality standards.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Must be 18–60 years of age.
- Must be a native or highly fluent speaker of Spanish, French, or German.
- Must have access to a mid-range or high-end smartphone capable of recording high-quality audio.
- Must have access to a second device for the online conversation.
- Must have wired or wireless earphones/headphones.
- Must have access to a quiet indoor recording environment.
- Must be available to complete approximately 2–2.5 hours of recording sessions.
- Must be comfortable participating in spontaneous conversations with another participant.
- Must be able to follow detailed recording, technical, and file-naming instructions.
- Must submit original recordings without editing, enhancement, or post-processing.
- Must provide accurate demographic information.
- Must sign the required participant consent and data collection authorization forms.
- Must not participate using multiple identities or through multiple recruitment sources.
- Must be available for a test recording and any required re-recording.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with speech data collection, voice recording, or conversational audio projects.
- Clear, natural, and fluent conversational speaking style.
- Familiarity with WAV recording applications.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Access to a regular conversation partner who speaks the required language.
- Experience uploading files through platforms such as Google Drive or OneDrive.
