Job Description
The Architect provides essential architectural and engineering calculations, prepares specifications, reports, and related data tables as outlined in the core contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing new construction architectural services including concept and project development.
- Preparing floor plans, elevations, schematics, and renderings.
- Discussing project objectives, requirements, and budget.
- Conducting feasibility and environmental impact studies.
- Preparing drawings and presenting ideas for customer review.
- Developing final construction plans that detail the building’s appearance and construction.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and fire regulations.
- Attending and leading meetings as required.
- Conducting construction inspections and quality control.
- Verifying design requirements and quality of work.
- Performing other architectural work as required.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an NCARB Accredited University.
- At least seven years of commercial project experience as a registered architect.
- Five years of experience in a project lead role.
- Two years of experience in public/governmental organizations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2025 or later and other architectural graphic software.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Government Clearance.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a diverse team are essential.
